An immersive dance and projection performance exploring climate, new power and regeneration.
Melbourne Fringe and City of Stonnington invite you to this free immersive projection dance performance: observe in stillness, move, or dance – however your body needs.
How can we swerve away from climate catastrophe and socio-ecological fracture? Instinctively through the body, we explore tactics and rituals to process climate grief and invigorate connection, empowerment and creative thinking. The dancer morphs with creatures and technology, creating new transcendent humans. They are Swerve Drivers, here to hold and guide us, floating freely, unhindered from patriarchal powers stuck in archaic destructive approaches. They connect us with a far more fascinating way of being, where nature is our kin and innovation is revered.
Enchanting and engaging for all ages. With deeper issues to contemplate in this tapestry of immersive sound, projection and dance performance.
Swerve Drivers is supported by the City of Stonnington.
