Me and UooUoo
We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the support of our incredible art trail community, Me and UooUoo: The Royal Children's Hospital 150th Anniversary Art Trail will be extended until Wednesday 7 April! This exciting extension will allow our community more time to explore the trail, immerse themselves in the spectacular designs and continue to unlock the wonderful rewards on offer. The extension will also allow families to explore the trail during the Easter school holidays, the perfect activity for the young and young at heart!
Now running until 7 April 2021, Me and UooUoo (pronounced you-you) combines Victoria’s renowned passion for the arts and culture with a dash of outdoor adventure, while encouraging communities to reconnect with their cities, and be active by visiting one hundred unique art sculptures.
Each UooUoo – individually designed by an Australian artist and sponsored by a Victorian business – will find a home in any one of Melbourne and Geelong’s laneways, streets, parks and public spaces.
One of these unique pieces, named ‘You Are Not Alone’, by artist Nani Puspasari, is located in Prahran Square. This strangely cute, pink and black dugong looking creature is hard to miss, but take a look a little closer, as each UooUoo has its own story.
When the art trail finishes, the sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for the RCH. So, what are you waiting for, join the UooUoo’s on a colourful outdoor adventure to help raise funds and change the future of paediatric healthcare for generations to come.
